From the original T5’s groundbreaking debut in 2005 through its  evolution as the smaller T5z, Taylor’s hollowbody hybrid electric acoustic guitars have carved out a niche of their own in the landscape  of stage-worthy musical instruments. The combination of electric and  acoustic pickups and 5-way switching has given players a uniquely  versatile tool to adapt for a wide range of musical applications. 

Now, Taylor master builder Andy Powers has taken another step  forward by refreshing the T5z with a suite of comfort-enhancing  design updates that make it more appealing than ever. The pickups,  preamp and five-way switching remain the same, retaining the  signature sonic characteristics that have made the T5z musically  appealing. But a lighter, slimmer and more contoured body, together  with new, more accessible tone knob positioning, deliver an  undeniably inviting playing experience.
