Condition:

This 2008 Gibson CSR is an interesting guitar but definitely not for you if you are looking for a pristine instrument. The issues that this guitar present with tells a story of the extreme conditions that it has been exposed to as some point in its life; It has several cracks in the soundboard, the soundboard is sagging slightly in front of the bridge and the fingerboard has a slight hump around the 14th fret, where the neck meets the body and the bridge is lifted very slightly at the rear.
When the guitar came to us we stabilised the humidity it in its case for a month with a Boveda humidification system, which has mad a massive improvement. The curve of the top behind the bridge is now quite normal, although some sag in front of the bridge still remains. The action measures at the 12th fret 2.5mm on the bass and 2.0mm on the treble. Although the bridge has slight separation around the back edges, it is stable and shouldn't peel any further anytime soon. Besides the point mentioned above, the guitar doesn't actually exhibit a lot of play marks and the frets are in extremely good shape. The guitar has been freshly restrung with a set of Elixirs and sounds great. The guitar comes complete with the original Gibson hard case.
Let us stress; if you are after a clean, pristine Gibson, this definitely IS NOT the guitar for you. However, if you don't mind some battle scars and you want a solid timber Gibson acoustic at Epiphone money, this guitar is worth checking out.
