By shifting the middle pedal, a mechanism called the “hammer shank stopper” is moved into place, stopping the hammer a few millimetres short of striking the string, thus muting the acoustic sound of the piano. The player can now hear themselves playing through headphones in superb digital reproduction. The skillfully designed sensor system captures and reproduces the subtlest of dynamics with stunning realism, all without affecting the acoustic touch of the piano in any way, granting you the convenience of a digital piano without sacrificing the authentic touch of a real acoustic.
