We recently were given the opportunity to purchase several very young Kawai pianos from an institution. These pianos were mainly used for examination purposes, have not been used for heavy teaching, and have been very well taken care of. The RX-3 is Kawai's Japanese built 186cm grand piano. The extra 8cm of length over the RX-2 makes a significant difference to the dynamic contrast and range of the piano overall thanks to longer strings, and a much larger soundboard. This piano features a soft yet powerful sound that can be easily controlled.
