The new Futura Series guitars from Epiphone are designed for today’s guitarists who want a guitar that delivers professional performance and forward‑thinking features. These Inspired by Gibson models offer the tone and style modern musicians need for live shows, studio sessions, and content creation. Featuring striking, colour-shifting finishes, newly designed pickups, and versatile electronics like coil-splitting and phase switching, Futura guitars give players the tools to stand out both visually and sonically. Premium details such as stainless steel frets, compound-radius fingerboards, and ultra-comfortable neck profiles make these instruments a forward-thinking choice for any serious guitarist.

The Gibson Explorer™ remains one of the most daring and instantly recognizable shapes in electric guitar history. First introduced in the late 1950s, its futuristic design was ahead of its time, eventually becoming a favourite among rock and metal players worldwide. Epiphone proudly presents the Futura Explorer Custom—a bold, modern evolution of that groundbreaking concept. Its angular mahogany body features elegant 7-ply top binding, paired with a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece for exceptional sustain and tuning stability. Posi-Lok™ strap buttons keep your strap secure without extra hardware.

The glued-in mahogany neck sports a sleek Modern C profile for effortless playability, topped with a bound ebony fingerboard boasting 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets and eye-catching Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays. A 10”-14” compound radius ensures smooth chording and bends, while the bound Explorer headstock includes locking Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, a Graph Tech® nut, and a mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo.

Driving the Futura Explorer Custom are Epiphone’s new ProBucker™ Ignite humbuckers™, delivering powerful tones with clarity and definition. Push/pull controls unlock coil-splitting and phase options for a wide range of sounds. Available in two stunning Chromashift finishes—Firestorm Shift and Dragonfly Shift—this guitar is designed to turn heads on stage or on screen. Whether you’re after a modern aesthetic, versatile electronics, or a performance-ready instrument at an accessible price, the Futura Explorer Custom delivers. Each one ships with a premium gig bag, ready to accompany you wherever inspiration strikes.
