The Epiphone SG Standard has a contoured, double-cutaway mahogany body that delivers unimpeded access to all 22 frets. The glued-in mahogany neck adds to the model’s renowned sustain. The neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper C profile and is capped with a bound laurel fretboard that is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and is adorned with pearloid trapezoid inlays. The fretboard’s 12” radius makes playing first-position chords easy while ensuring that string bends don’t fret out when you play them. High-quality Grover® Rotomatic® tuning machines and a Graph Tech™ nut, paired with a fully adjustable Epiphone LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, work together to keep the tuning stability and intonation rock-solid.
The Epiphone SG Standard is equipped with a pair of Epiphone’s acclaimed ProBucker™ humbucking pickups that deliver all of the vintage-approved SG tones you could ask for. A ProBucker 2 humbucker is in the neck position, and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 is installed in the bridge position. Each of the pickups is wired to its own individual volume and tone controls, along with a three-way toggle pickup selector switch, which lets you use either pickup alone or combine them in whatever ratio suits your mood and muse. The Epiphone SG Standard is sure to turn heads and will impress players and fans alike. It comes complete with a premium gig bag to help keep it safe when traveling.
