The new LITTLE MARCUS 58R is set to replicate the success of the Marcus Miller signature head range introduced by Markbass few years ago. It is the result of a collaboration between Marcus Miller — renowned for his ground breaking style and trademark sound— and Marco De Virgiliis, the founder of Markbass. Like its predecessor, the Little Marcus 58R boasts a warm and natural sound, clear definition, punch and dynamics, with its primary design focus being on tone, like all Little Mark heads.
The Little Marcus 58R has a new tone setup – on the one hand you have a 5-band EQ activated by the EQ1 switch, ranging from ULTRA LOW to HIGH and on the other hand you have the two new Old School and Millerizer filters available on EQ2 (tailored to Marcus’ specifications). This practical setup allows quick and easy sound changes - from, say, a vintage tone to a bright and bold slap sound.
The new bi-band limiter that Markbass engineered for this amp also responds faster and more dynamically to your playing than was possible on previous amplifiers. The new limiter is paired with a 500W power amp that provides impeccable bass frequency reproduction thanks to Markbass’ MPT proprietary bass amp design technology.
The LITTLE MARCUS 58R amp’s new layout features almost all connections and controls on the front panel, leaving only the power and speaker outputs on the rear panel. This setup makes everything more ergonomic and practical for the working bass player.
All this tone and power is housed in a high quality, ultralight new chassis, providing a super portable package that weighs only 2.17Kg.
And – it’s made in beautiful Pescara, Italy!
