The aged finish is sensational but it does make it very hard to work out what is factory wear and what has come after. The guitar has various marks and bumps, most of which would appear to be from factory. The finish looks to have flaked in some area, as can be seen in the photos. The guitar has some minor fret wear but still has lots of life left. We have given it a fresh restring and setup with Elixir 10-46 and it plays beautifully. The guitar comes complete with the original hard case, swing tag and trem arm.

From LSL:

"When Lance decided to make an S style he figured it would be best to start at the beginning; 1954. He was lucky enough to get his hands on a real holy grail kind of guitar that was loaned to him. It was number 1055 and was and still is a honey of a guitar. We couldn’t have a better example.

We worked hard to get that same, vintage tone and feel with a few improvements along the way. Our body shape is slightly different and comfier. Smooth, hand-shaped contours make for a smoother, more flowing shape.

Our Saticoy models also have the lower tone knob controlling the tone bridge pickup alone while the middle tone knob controls both the middle and bridge pickups.

We believe that our Saticoy is a worthy and true example of a vintage sound and feel that only comes with gigantic price tags. Even if you were lucky enough to have one of those, you wouldn’t want to be bringing it to hole-in-the-wall gigs. Our goal was to make a guitar that would be great enough to attract some of the best players in the world. Now, several of Lance’s guitar heroes are playing Saticoys."

https://dwmusic.com.au/products/lsl-2011-saticoy-shyla-electric-guitar-w-case-vintage-white-preowned-1
